Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

We would love to help you on the big day and be able to conduct your service at St Chads Church. Our vicar will do all he can to help you be married at St Chads Church. What you can Expect from Us 

Our vicar will have an initial meeting with you to check you can be married at St Chads and to agree the time and date of the service and to take some details from you. A deposit of £50 will secure the day and time that you want.

You will be invited to a marriage preparation day held jointly with St Peters and Holy Trinity Churches.

Our vicar will meet with you to plan the service and agree an order of service and then meet with you to rehearse the service in the run up to the wedding day.

Costs Involved

There are set fees and optional extras for getting married in church. The exact cost will depend on some of the choices you make, but a typical service costs £670.

The final payment needs to be made at least 4 weeks before the date of the wedding.

 Reading of Banns

If one or both of you lives outside the parish of St Chads you will need to have your banns read at the parish churches you live in as well as at St Chads.  Our vicar will help you with this, but you can check which parish you live in
