Community Garden Questionnaire

We want to know what you think?

There are a number of really good ideas about how we can use the grounds of the church for the benefit of wildlife and the local community- but we want to know what you think are the best ones? What do you think we should be doing? And importantly, what good ideas do you have that we have not thought of yet?

You can find details about the plans below

Plans of the church grounds showing some of the ideas for improving the grounds for the benefit of wildlife and the local community

Mini Wild Flower Meadow

We all know the benefits of wild flowers for pollinators and the well being that comes from seeing flowers gently blowing in the wind

Electric Vehicle Charging Points

There is a big move from traditional diesel and petrol engines to electric and hybrid vehicles. Would you make use of being able to charge your car when coming to the church or church hall?

Woodland

There are a number of ideas relating to the woodland, these include rustic fencing along the edge of the woodland, a wooden entrance gate with a welcome sign and interpretation boards around the woodland to explain what we are doing; creation of a willow dome, den building equipment, a small obstacle course/balance beams.

Seating Area

Rustic style benches (photo for illustrative purposes only) to be located near the tree in the car park to provide an outdoor seating area for those coming to the hall for pick up and drop off, with maybe one or two benches along the edge of the path in the woodland

Fruit Trees

To plant a number of fruit trees to replace the silver birch trees by the hedge by Hollyfield Road, as these trees reach the end of their natural lives and begin to die. The fruit trees would provide food for wildlife and potentially some fruit for us as well
