Our welcoming Sunday School aims to inspire our children to enable them to make informed life choices. We hope to increase their knowledge and understanding of the teachings of the Bible, Jesus, God, and Christian faith.
“All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children” Isaiah 54:13
We meet every week, rain or shine…there is always something happening!!!
Sunday School classes take place in the Hall, but we all meet in Church first. All children begin the 10.30am service with their families and after a song, short talk, and prayer, they meet with Sunday School leaders to walk to the hall. At the end of the session, the children are brought back into church to re-join the service and to have a blessing while the congregation takes communion. Afterwards the children and leaders tell the wider congregation what they have been doing, before the children return to their families.
We also do activities together throughout the year such as a Sunday School nativity at Christmas or a Sunday School picnic in the summer…
What is Sunday School?
Sunday School follows the Sunday theme with Bible stories, games, crafts, drama and music.
The children are encouraged to participate as much or as little as they wish and are able to show their work at the end of the service.
Sessions are free and all are welcome!!
Where?
Sunday School is held in St. Chad’s Church Hall, or in the church when it is a wider Family Service.
