13th January 2014. Malawi Orphans’ new Peanut Crushing Machine.

A private donation has allowed the Living Bread Organisation (LBO), the charity in Zomba, Malawi which Fr. Joel Malanda chairs, to buy a peanut crushing machine, training and set up requirements.  This will enable the team of volunteers to make peanut oil which is widely used in Malawi as cooking oil.  They will be able to sell it and generate their own funds.  This has been what the LBO organisation and Fr. Joel have always dreamt of doing and thus reducing their near-total dependence on donations.  Click the link below to see the pictures.  They are numbered in the order of the process to generate the groundnut oil from 1 to 7.  Unfortunately they have uploaded in the reverse order.  Just can’t get the staff now!
