A crèche service is provided at St Chad’s church during the 11 o’clock service on Sundays. Children aged from new born to 3 year olds can be left in the crèche. There are two crèche supervisors on duty both of which will have had routine checks in relation to child protection from the Criminal Records Bureau. Parents can leave their children with the supervisors or are welcome to stay in the crèche with their child.

All children are in church for the start of the service then, after the first hymn the Sunday school children go into the hall for Sunday School and the younger children i.e. under 3 years go into the crèche. All the children then return to the service during the time holy communion is being taken (ie the bread and wine).

The children generally receive a blessing and then remain in church for the last hymn. During family services the crèche is open but no supervisors are on duty.                    Parents are welcome to take the children into crèche but will have to remain with them.
